Discovering the enigmas of wild canids in Chad is pilot project. Chad harbour wild canids assemblage and this given article concerning insights into management and research. Chad harbour several poorly understood canids living in harsh condition of this remote land of Sahara and Sahel. One of them is adjule, dog-like carnivore reported from Koro-Toro. Lycaon was spotted in south-west Zakouma. More research are needed. Another mystery canid is Canis anthus, which occur in various massifes such like Ennedi. Expedition Koro-Toro and Voyages Ennedi will provide insightful into natural history of the relic canids from Central and North Africa. Two poorly known fox species, Vulpes pallida and Vulpes Rupelli occur in game reserve called Ouadi Rimé. Canis lupaster and Lupulella adusta was recently recorded by inaturalist.org from Moyen-Chari, southern Chad. There is also 1996 record of Lycaon pictus from that region. The saharan and sahelian canids are forgotten and poorly researched in given part of the world. Ecology of wild canidae are virtually unknown across desert mountains of that region of Africa. More research are needed in te footsteps of lycaon pictus and other rare canids in Tchad.
